Social Media Marketer & Community Manager

Social Media Marketer & Community Manager

Platforms include: Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok 

Tasks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Create a monthly social media Content Calendar
  • Use branded templates to create graphics for social media posts 
  • Create social media captions that drive likes, comments, and DMs
  • Create reels, videos, carousels, stories, feed posts, and other post formats 
  • Monitor engagement and respond to comments in a timely manner 
  • Respond to private DMs in a timely manner 
  • Encourage people to book calls, both in the comments and in the DMs with a natural, on-brand voice  
  • Ensure that all posts go out on time across all platforms with proper formatting 
  • Maintain and update Hashtag Library
  • Track analytics across multiple social media channels  
  • Create and update social media-specific SOPs
  • Regularly welcome new members in the Facebook Community and reach out to interested/qualified members via private DM
  • Join monthly team meetings
  • Create a monthly report with social media stats, observations and suggestions

    • Kajabi 
    • Zoom
    • Google Suites
    • Fast, Reliable Wi-Fi!

AVAILABILITY & LOGISTICS

  • We’re U.S. based and would prefer availability within the 10AM-4PM EST time range.
  • This role will start with 4-5 hours per week with the opportunity to grow.
  • All work can be done remotely and work times are flexible as long as deadlines are met.
  • This position will be a contractor role.
  • Primary communication will take place over Slack & Zoom.

THIS MIGHT BE THE PERFECT POSITION FOR YOU IF YOU:

  • Have (paid or unpaid) experience building social media accounts and growing an audience for an individual or organization
  • Enjoy playing with data and aren’t scared to dig into the analytics to see how we can continuously improve
  • Know your way around Canva and can use templates to create beautiful, on-brand graphics 
  • Have experience writing social media captions that reflect the tone of your client’s brand 
  • Are a wiz at Hashtag research!
  • Take complete ownership of your work. Together we set goals, and you figure out how to reach that goal without our input. 
  • Feel confident managing your time and work independently but also work well with a team
  • Are resourceful AKA you know when to Google it but also know when it’s faster for everyone if you just ask for help. 
  • Familiarity with a variety of social media tools, and a point of view on which are best suited for different use cases
  • The secret word is amazing
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Have top-notch organizational skills and the ability to prioritize your own workload to produce quality work while still meeting deadlines 
  • Critical thinking, analytical, & problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and/or work on multiple projects at any one time
  • Are a problem solver who always thinks ahead to ensure any challenges don’t greatly impact project progress or outcomes

THIS POSITION IS NOT FOR YOU IF YOU:

  • Already feel stretched too thin.
  • Are looking to work with more then 1 client at a time
  • Worry more about getting things done instead of making them great.
  • Struggle to hold yourself accountable. 
  • Always wait for instruction, instead of taking the initiative to get things done.
  • Regularly have trouble meeting deadlines.
  • Take constructive criticism personally. 
  • Don't have the bandwidth to take on more clients.
  • You don't have AMAZING attention to detail.
  • You lack experience in social media management and launches. 
  • Don’t care about client satisfaction and customer service.

HOURLY RATE:

$15-25/hour based on experience.
